BootMii Configuration Editor (v2.5) update information

It’s nearly done – from the editor you can now disable/enable bootmii which ultimately renames /bootmii to /~bootmii.

If you’ve got a /bootmii and a /~bootmii then it goes into ‘swap’ mode where it’ll give you the option to swap the directories so you could have mike or cboot2 in the ~bootmii directory and swap it in via the editor.  The icon in the homebrew channel is updated to indicate the status (enabled/disabled/switch mode).

I’m hoping to add a bit more functionality and tidy it up before release, so expect this in around a week or so.

  1. Now added code to detect whether there is a boot.ini in /bootmii and/or /~bootmii and allow you to select which to edit if there are 2 present. Also – if you’re in switch mode, i.e. you have a bootmii and a ~bootmii directory – on startup you have the option to immediately switch rather than having to go into the editor to set the option.

Will be error testing this over next few days and hope to get a release out over the weekend.

  2. So – due to a bug in my auto update version checking, it’s going to be called v2.5

I’ve been testing this over the last couple of days and checking to ensure that the update from v2.4 goes smoothly with no issues! Still aiming for a weekend release.
